Lifetime Fitness Drug Test Policy in 2024
The answer to the question ‘does Lifetime Fitness drug test for pre-employment?’ is tricky as it’s not straightforward or definitive. The truth is that in most states, such as Ohio, India, Illinois, and Texas, you won’t be required to pass a drug test while applying for a job at Lifetime Fitness.
In other states such as Minnesota, employees are in fact subjected to drug tests. This might leave you unsure about whether or not your local health club will ask you to pass a drug test in order to gain employment. Therefore, the best thing to do is to ask someone you know who already works, or used to work, there. They’ll be able to tell you for sure.
If you do live in a state where drug testing is required, you can expect to be tested for THC, cocaine, heroin, methamphetamines, benzodiazepines, and other similar drugs.
What to Expect During Lifetime Fitness Hiring Process.
The hiring process at Lifetime Fitness takes about 2 weeks to complete. After applying, you might be called for a phone interview. Or you might be asked to actually go in person for your first interview. In total, you’ll go through about 2-3 interviews.
A piece of advice that existing employees have for new applicants is to ‘memorize the company’s mission and vision’ before going for the interview. If you pass your interviews, you’ll be notified that you’ve been hired.
Does Lifetime Fitness Drug Test for Pre-employment?
As stated earlier, the answer is dependent upon the state in which you are applying for employment. Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, and Texas will NOT require you to pass a drug test during the hiring process. We know, however that Minnesota requires you to pass a drug in order to get hired.
For job hopefuls who aren’t living in states we haven’t mentioned, you should ask someone who has works at your local Lifetime Fitness health club. They should be able to tell you for sure if you’ll need to prepare to pass a drug test.
Does Lifetime Fitness Do Random and Pre-Promotional Drug Testing?
Yes, they absolutely do. The company retains the right to test you for drug use anytime they want. However, they most likely will only exercise that right if you give them a good reason to. If they suspect you’re high or you’re involved in a work accident, you will most likely be asked to complete a drug test.
Also, you can expect to be asked to take a drug test if a client complains that you seem high. It’s always the best idea to stay sober and clear headed while at work.
What Kind of Drug Test Does Lifetime Fitness Do?
In the states where a drug test is required for employment, or you’re subjected to a random drug test, you’ll need to provide a urine sample. It will be analyzed for the various drugs we already mentioned above.
Your urine sample will then be transported to a a company contracted lab to be analyzed. If the drug test is positive you won’t get the job/promotion. If you already work there, you may even be fired.
Just don’t put yourself in a position where you’re asked for a random drug test while on the job by going to work high or under the influence of drugs!
How to Pass Urine Drug Test at Lifetime Fitness?
If you are requested to take a urine drug test, there are three proven effective approaches that will increase your chances of passing the test.
- If you have enough time until your test, and don’t use marijuana often, you might try detoxing your body naturally through light aerobic exercise, visiting a sauna and having a healthy diet. But, if you vape, consume edibles and smoke at least 3-5 times a week, you will need from 35 to 90 days to detox your body completely.
- Not for a tight budget, but an effective approach, is using a whole body detox program like the Toxin Rid program, or taking a detox drink like Mega Clean or XXTRA Clean, to cleanse your body from all unwanted toxins, including THC.
If you don’t have enough time to complete a Toxin Rid program before your test, you might consider using a detox drink like Mega Clean or Ready Clean on your drug test day.
This approach is effective for a ‘light’ or ‘moderate’ user. However, if you are a ‘heavy’ user, such drinks decrease your chances of passing the test to less than 50%.
We always recommend checking your THC level with a home urine drug test before you take your actual drug test. This helps you find out if you will pass it or not.
- If you still test positive on a home urine drug test after completing detox program, drinking a detox drink, or caught by surprise with your test, you might consider using synthetic urine. This may work for an unsupervised test. However, there is always the risk of being caught and facing penalties for such action.
