Does Tractor Supply Drug Test for Employment?

“Does Tractor Supply drug test for employment?”. This is a question that is on the minds of many recreational drug users who may be looking to get a job at one of the largest retail stores in America in general and Tractor Supply in particular (see below). It’s one thing to fail to get your dream job because you weren’t qualified and it is another thing to fail to secure the job because you are asked to undergo a surprise drug test. Obviously those who don’t use drugs or marijuana recreationally have nothing to worry about.

On the other hand, if you’re someone who uses drugs then you need to do your research before applying for any job. Not all places drug test for employment. Those that do test as part of the hiring process don’t necessarily test for drugs at the same time in the process. That’s why I decided to do some research in order to find out if Tractor Supply drug tests for employment.

Tractor Supply Company Facts

Tractor Supply was founded in 1939 in North Dakota and is now headquartered in Brentwood, Tennessee. The company has been around for about 80 years and has been profitable most of this time. Tractor Supply currently has over 1,700 stores across 49 of the 50 s states. The company employs almost 30,000 people as of 2019. So it’s no surprise that many people are looking to work at Tractor Supply.

There are a host of jobs available at Tractor Supply. You can apply to work at one of their stores or at HQ in Brentwood, Tennessee. Jobs you’ll find at the local store include being a team member or a cashier. A team member assists in restocking and helping customers find what they want. Tractor Supply Drug Test Policy in 2024

Tractor Supply has a strict ‘no drugs’ policy. If at any time during your employment you’re caught high on the job, then your contract will most likely be terminated. Drugs Tractor Supply test for include marijuana, benzodiazepines, opioids, cocaine, and barbiturates.

What to Expect During the Tractor Supply Hiring Process?

The hiring process at Tractor Supply varies from person to person. For some, the hiring process takes a little over a week. For others, the process may take over 3 weeks to complete. The number of interviews you have to go through is also variable. Some applicants are hired after only one interview, while others may have to go through 3 to 4 interviews. The timing of the process and number of interviews you are required to take may be due to the type of job you’re applying for.

You can always submit your application for a job at Tractor Supply online. If you don’t receive a call back within a few days, you can call them and ask for a status update. If your application is successful, you will probably be expected to undergo a few days of orientation before beginning your job.

Does Tractor Supply Do Pre Employment Drug Test?

Unfortunately, I don’t have a clear answer for you on this question. I’ve extensively researched the issue and determined there doesn’t seem to be a consensus among interviewees on whether or not Tractor Supply drug tests as part of the pre-employment process.

It looks like the majority of stores do, in fact, drug test for employment. However, there appears to be some stores that don’t. Those who worked in Texas and Ohio for example said that they didn’t have to pass a drug test in order to be hired. Whether or not Tractor Supply tests for drug as part of the hiring process, just remember the company has a strict ‘do drugs’ policy.

My advice is if you want to know for sure if Tractor tests as part of the hiring process at your local store, you should ask people who work there if they were tested or not. They should be able to give you a specific and definitive answer.

If they say that they were drug tested, then you should abstain from drugs a month or so before your interview. Alternatively, if they weren’t drug tested, then that should be great news for you is you are recreational drug user. You should have nothing to worry about. Of course that’s not an excuse to show up high for work.

Does Tractor Supply Drug Test at Interview?

No, they don’t. You will be asked to pass a drug test after your first pre-employment orientation program.

Does Tractor Supply Do Random and Pre Promotional Drug Test?

Yes, the company retains the right to drug test at any time, especially if you give them a specific reason to do so. Those who are involved in a work related accident will mostly certainly be required to undergo a drug test to assess whether or not they’re under the influence of an illicit substance.

If your random/unexpected drug test shows up positive you will most likely lose your job on the spot. However, if lucky, you might get away only with a warning.

You should expect to be drug tested if you’re getting promoted to a management position or a job at company headquarters. These jobs have very small room for errors, so they receive more attention when it comes to such matters.

What Kind of Drug Test Does Tractor Supply Use?

Tractor Supply uses a urine drug test. You will be asked to urinate in a cup, which will then be sent to a Tractor Supply contracted lab for testing. The lab will screen your urine sample and send the results back to Tractor Supply. This process applies to random testing as well pre promotional and pre employment testing.

Can You Fail a Drug Test If You’re on Prescription Drugs?

No, you can’t fail a drug test if you’re on a prescription for drugs like barbiturates that can show up positive on a drug screen. In order to avoid any confusion, however, just let the company or interviewer know that you’re on a prescription. You might even want to give them your doctor’s name and contact info so they can confirm with him or her.

You don’t need to disclose what meds you’re on or why you’re taking them – and neither should your doctor. That information is private.

Our #1 Recommendation for Effective DetoxHelp you to pass your drug test

How to Pass Urine Drug Test at Tractor Supply?

If you are planning to look for a job at Tractor Supply, it is important to stop using any drugs – including marijuana – as early as possible. The sooner you abstain from using drugs such as marijuana, the higher chances you will have of passing your urine test.

There are three important facts you need to know in order to pass your urine test.

  1. Light users- might test positive for THC for up to 4-5 days from the time of their last use,
  2. Moderate users – might test positive for up to 10-12 days after their last use, and
  3. Heavy user-might test positive from 35 to 90 days.

So, if you a light or moderate user and have enough time until your test, you might try to detox naturally through exercise and a healthy diet. Another option for such users is using a detox drink like XXTRA Clean or Herbal Clean Ultra Eliminex. Such drinks should be taken only on your drug test day.

Heavy users should take their body detoxification seriously because of their very high THC exposure. Usually using an effective whole body detox programs like a 10 day Toxin Rid detox program, significantly speeds up their body detoxification process.

We have seen cases where some heavy users have successfully used synthetic urine when they knew that the urine test would be unsupervised. However, there is always the risk of being caught and facing the dire consequences of such an action.

Summery

So to sum up, you can expect random and pre promotional drug tests at Tractor Supply. When it comes to drug testing for pre employment, the issue is sadly unclear. A lot of current employees say that they were drug tested, but a fair share say that they never had to undergo a drug screen. As mentioned earlier, in order to get a definitive answer, you should ask people who already work at your local Tractor Supply so you can plan accordingly.
