What to Expect During Five Guys Hiring Process
The hiring process at Five Guys is pretty simple and doesn’t take long. Most people report being hired with 5 days. In fact, some people were hired on the spot. It’s not completely clear if they test people before promoting them to managerial positions. But it seems highly likely they might. Managers are closely supervised compared to regular employees.

What Kind of Drug Test Does Five Guys Use?
Five Guys uses a urine drug test when testing employees randomly or before a promotion. You’ll need to provide a sample of your urine which is sent it to a lab with which they have an agreement. The lab will send the results back to Five Guys. They’ll then decide what to do with the results. You could face termination of employment if your urine drug test results come back positive.
Can You Fail Your Drug Test for Using Prescription Drugs?
You can’t fail a random or pre-promotional drug test at Five Guys simply for using prescription drugs. The company isn’t allowed to fail you for that. You just need to let them know beforehand that some of the drugs you’re taking as a prescription may show up positive on a urine drug screen. Another good idea is to give them in advance your prescribing physician’s contact info.
They’ll most likely call him or her to confirm that you’re on a prescription drug. Don’t worry though, neither you, nor your doctor, is obligated to say what drugs you’re taking or why you’re taking them. That’s private information.
How to Pass a Drug Test at Five Guys?
If you are looking for a promotion, or became involved in a work accident, there is a high chance that you will be asked to take a urine drug test at Five Guys.
If you would like to be promoted within Five Guys and use recreational marijuana regularly, you should better prepare properly to take a urine drug test. You should either abstain from using marijuana from 45 to 90 days in advance of the test or consider completing at least a 10 day whole body detox program.
However, if you are a light or moderate user, you need abstain from using marijuana for a shorter period of time (i.e. for up to 10 days and the odds of passing your test should be pretty good).
If you don’t have enough time to become clean before your test, you might consider using a detox drink like Mega Clean just before your test.
We have seen that some users try using synthetic urine as their emergency plan, if the urine drug test is unsupervised.
Five Guys is a great place to work with lots of branches and job openings. It’s a friendly place to work. Getting a job there is easier for recreational drug users because they won’t have to be drug tested. Just show up to your interview, do well and you’ll get the job.
